How I write

  A few years ago, I wrote a post about my writing process - how I decide what and who to write about, how I develop a story or a series, and other more mundane considerations. I've just decided to change my latest series a bit - I added another book - so I thought I'd explain how that came to be. 

  When I'm ready to begin a new series, I almost always look for a model to inspire the creation of my main female character. I use Depositphotos to find a suitable model that inspire me - I often have no idea what I'm going to write about until I find that first photo. Once I've settled on a subject, I pick a location and a story framework. I always write about hotwives and cuckolds, but the particulars vary. Sometimes it's one couple, other times as many as five couples. 

  I begin the story with no real idea where it will lead - it's a process called 'writing into the light' as the act of writing the story leads me to create the story as I go along. I'm almost always surprised by where the characters lead me as I write but I rarely change anything once I've written it. I'm sure most writers do things differently and I'm almost positive that my former English teachers would have a coronary to hear me say that but it works for me. 

  The point of this post it to explain my current series and how it's evolved over the past few weeks. When I began with Allie and Justin, I envisioned three books to fully tell their story. About halfway through the first book (Cuckold Fantasy), I realized that I had more story to tell and that another book was called for, so I changed it to a four-book series. As I finished the third book (Cuckold Revealed, due out on Aug 28th: pre-order now! Lol!) I knew that a fifth book (Cuckold Reality) almost demanded to be written. So my three-book series is now five books long. Or will be. I will start to write Book 4 (Cuckold Denial) when I finish this post. 

  One final note for those who've stuck with me this far into a long post. The bull in my First-Time Hotwife series is taken from real life. I got an email a couple of years ago from a fan who told me that he enjoyed my work and how much it mirrored his life as a bull who has been with dozens of white hotwives over the years. I was transfixed by his story and we have been exchanging emails on and off ever since - he even invited me to come visit him (I declined, but that's another story.) You can read our real-life exchanges, almost verbatim, in Book 1 of the series, Cuckold Fantasy.
