The Manipulation of Marcy

I submitted Marcy to Amazon yesterday, so she'll be on the shelf soon. Here's her blurb:

Marcy was thrilled, in more ways than one. 

Her new boss snatched her away from a job she hated. 

Brandon Taylor plucked Marcy from obscurity, saving her but also tormenting her in a new and much crueler way. 

Now that Marcy worked for Brandon, she saw him every day and fantasized about him. 

About what it might be like to be with him, even though she loved her husband Kevin. 

It was torture, pure and simple. 

Then Brandon quit his job and changed everything.

Kevin knew he was a lucky man, but he just had to press his luck. 

His beautiful wife married him before she realized how much better she could have done. 

But he can’t leave well enough alone. 

Marcy is working for a handsome, charismatic man in her new job and Kevin can’t stop fantasizing about his wife and her new boss.

So Kevin pushed Marcy to do something she never dreamed of actually doing. 

Something she’d already been dreaming about.

He told himself he didn’t hire Marcy because he found her attractive, although she was. 

He told himself he hired her because she was the best candidate for the job. 

But he was leaving the firm soon anyway.  

So what’s the harm in giving Marcy a shot at the fast track she always wanted? 

That she might be grateful to him for her big break, well, that wouldn’t be so bad either. 

Or so he thought.
